Here are some of Gargan Consulting's Team


Dr Ian Gargan
Dr. Gargan has a diverse professional background including medicine, psychology and clinical management. Ian holds a BSc in Applied Psychology from University College Cork, an MSc in Forensic Psychology from the University of Leicester, an MB BCh BA BAO from Trinity College Dublin and an MBA from Smurfit Business School. He established Gargan Psychological Services over ten years ago and this involved the provision of clinical management to many areas of health care for the Health Services Executive, Ireland and various state departments including Justice and Children. Ian gained medical training in a number of Tertiary care hospitals including the Mater Misericordiae Teaching Hospital, Dublin.

He is the Clinical Director of Fresh Start Ltd., a specialist child care company. Ian is a Chartered Forensic Psychologist with the British Psychological Society. He has created new businesses and invigorated established companies for many years, always aiming to utilise the respective institutions owns skills as well as apply new ones with cutting edge technology and innovative solutions.

Dr Adrian Guckian
Dr Guckian is our business start-up, development and IP expert. Adrian holds a BSc in Pure and Applied Chemistry and a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry. He has worked in both the Netherlands and Italy. Adrian was the General Manager of Gas Sensor Solutions Ltd. a provider of innovative technology to the food, medical and pharmaceutical industries. More recently Adrian has been working as a Business Development Consultant with Fresh Start Ltd - a provider of residential child care services in Ireland. Adrian is qualified as an Internal QMS Auditor and has recently completed an Executive MBA with Smurfit Business School, UCD.

Dr Eddie Murphy
Eddie is a Principal Psychology Manager in the HSE. He is also the founder and Managing Director of People Care Services, an organisation that provides services to organisations, employers and employees in the areas of Organisational Consultancy, Training, Employee Assistance Programs, Medico-legal Services & Critical Incident Trauma Management.

Eddie has over twenty years experience in healthcare provision as scientist/practitioner and has extensive organisational consultancy and change management skills in both UK and Irish public sectors.

Dr Martina Tobin
Martina received a B.A. Applied Psychology (1990) and a research doctorate in forensic Psychology in 1996 (UCC), subsequently working as a lecturer in Forensic and Abnormal Psychology at the University of North London.

She joined the Prison and Probation Services in London (2001). As a senior Psychologist, responsibilities included supervision of psychologists for Chartership, a case load of Life Sentenced Prisoners, clinical work with patients on the healthcare wing of the prison, programme manager of the Sex Offender Treatment Programme, and working as lead Hostage Negotiator for the London Area. Her work with the probation services included assessment and clinical work with individual adolescents and training and management of probation staff on treatment programmes for adolescent sex offenders.

Martina also lecturers part time in UCC teaching Abnormal Psychology to undergraduates and a module entitled "Treatment and Management of Sexual offenders" on the Forensic Masters programme in UCC.
